When you open this book, you will find three playful and educational poems: “Vilenke and Maja”, “A Bug” and “Not me”. The poems are close to the genre of rhymed fairy tale, they create a coherent, picturesque world centered on children and the inhabitants of living nature. The texts provide meaning to the values such as friendship, sharing, valuing one’s possessions. Laziness, distraction and disorder are hilariously mocked. Rhythmic poems tickle the ear and the developed plot stimulates the imagination.<\/p>\n

\u201cSlinktys\u201d Publishing house, in cooperation with Lithuanian Jewish (Litvak) Community and YIVO Institute, have started to publish books for children. The series of books were written almost 100 years ago and now were translated from Yiddish into Lithuanian language. The books contain authentic illustrations.<\/p>\n
