Thus, Shimon Lev &#8220;From Lithuania to Santiniketan: Schlomith Flaum &amp; Rabindranath Tagore&#8221; arrived from Vilnius in New Delhi this early morning, repeating the transcontinental journey of the book&#8217;s main character, a Lithuania-born Jewish-Lithuanian traveler, Ms. Schlomith Flaum.\u201d \u2013 reported Embassy of Lithuania in India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Schlomith Flaum was born in Kaunas in 1893 and reached India in 1922. She spent a few years in Santiniketan, near Calcutta, working together with the world-famous poet, Rabindranath Tagore. Their correspondence, which continued until 1940s, as well as Flaum&#8217;s very intimate diaries, are presented in the book which will be released in New Delhi on 19 March and Kolkata on 20 March.
