The Lithuanian sports club “Makabi” is intensively preparing for participation in the 21st World Maccabiah which will be held on July 12-26 in Israel. This will be the 9th World Maccabiah the delegation of the Lithuanian sports club “Makabi” participates in, led by the long-time head Semionas Finkel\u0161teinas.<\/p>\n
The delegation consists of 23 participants, of which 17 are athletes, 2 coaches (chess and swimming) and 4 managers. Together with the team, Faina Kukliansky, the chairman of the Lithuanian Jewish community, will participate in the opening ceremony.<\/p>\n
The team of the Lithuanian sports club “Makabi” hopes for a successful performance, establishing new friendships and getting to know the country and culture at the World Maccabiah in Israel.<\/p>\n
