Next to the bus station, where the famous \u0160akovas beer brewery once stood and where the \u0160akovai family last lived (former Balbieri\u0161kios st. 1), two tiles have been installed in the sidewalk, which symbolically reunited and brought back home both Bencionas Benas \u0160akovas and his wife Lib\u0117 Gen\u0117 Kacait\u0117 \u0160akovien\u0117, who were killed on August 26-27 in 1941 in the forest outside the town.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Project creators and executors: Joalita Jurkevi\u010dien\u0117, Jolita Sta\u010diokait\u0117 and Janina Leonavi\u010dien\u0117.
