Lecture “The Great Synagogue of Vilnius – Finds from the Past and a Vision for the Future” by Dr. Jon Seligman was held on August 24 at Lithuanian Jewish (Litvaks) Community.
During the lecture, the Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Jewish (Litvaks) Community, Faina Kukliansky, presented Dr. Seligman with the commemorative medal to mark the year of the Vilna Gaon and of the history of the Jews of Lithuania for merits in cherishing Lithuanian Jewish traditions, education and cultural heritage.
Archaeological excavations of the Vilna Great Synagogue are partially financed by the Good Will Foundation.
