On July 28-29, 2023, members of the Jewish community of Panevėžys went on a sightseeing-leisure trip to Jūrmala, according to the development project of the Panevėžys city Jewish community funded by the Good Will Foundation.
On the way, they got acquainted with the history of the city of Bauskė where they visited the castle, 20 kilometers away from the Lithuanian border. After arriving in Jurmala, the members visited the city center, local history museum and churches, and learned about the history of the Jews.
On the way back to Panevėžys, they visited the memorial sites of the Holocaust victims.
