The Great Synagogue and Shulhoyf research and excavation project starts it’s fifth season

The Great Synagogue and Shulhoyf research and excavation project will be entering its fifth year in just three weeks. Following the discovery of the Bimah of the Great Synagogue in 2018, the work in this season will concentrate on continuing the exposure of the Bimah and other sections of the Great Synagogue. As always, the work will be a joint effort of Lithuanians, Israelis, Americans and Canadians. The fieldwork, in Zydu gatve in Vilnius will start on the 1st of July and continue until the 19th July, all interests and visits are very welcome!
