We kindly invite you to the ceremony commemorating the victims of the Holocaust in Akmenė region, which will take place on October 18, Sunday, in Akmenė and Mažeikiai.
The program of the event:
Akmenė town square:
- 14.00 – Unveiling of the monument on the site of the former synagogues in Akmenė.
- 14.30 – Ceremony of reading the names of Jews of Akmenė region killed in 1941 in Mažeikiai.
Next, the event moves to the old Jewish cemetery in Mažeikiai.
- 17.00 – Ceremony of reading the names of Jews of Akmenė region killed in 1941 in Mažeikiai
The event may be canceled if the epidemiological situation changes.
