Prienai town in Lithuania also joined the global memorial project “Stumbling Stones”. Next to the bus station, where the famous Šakovas beer brewery once stood and where the Šakovai family last lived (former Balbieriškios st. 1), two tiles have been installed in the sidewalk, which symbolically reunited and brought back home both Bencionas Benas Šakovas and his wife Libė Genė Kacaitė Šakovienė, who were killed on August 26-27 in 1941 in the forest outside the town.

Project creators and executors: Joalita Jurkevičienė, Jolita Stačiokaitė and Janina Leonavičienė. The project was supported in every possible way by the municipality of Prienai district.
