In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Good Will Compensation for the Immovable Property of Jewish Religious Communities, the deadline for applications for symbolic compensation for private Jewish immovable property has expired on 31 December 2023.
Administrative evaluation of received applications is performed based on the order of application registration numbers starting from 1, and will last through the whole year of 2024.

Guidelines according to the Good Will Compensation Law, which came into force in 2011
According to the Good Will Compensation Law, which came into force in 2011, approximately 870,000 EUR was dedicated to support the persons of the Jewish nationality who resided in Lithuania during the Second World War and who suffered from the totalitarian regimes during the occupations. The Good Will Foundation completed all the payments to individuals by December 31, 2014. More than 1550 persons all over the world received symbolic compensation.
We had to overcome a great challenge of finding and contacting potential applicants for compensation. Applicants then had to submit an application including some obligatory documents. Finally, al compensations were successfully distributed in Israel, Lithuania, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Russia, Canada, Germany, Ukraine, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Brasil, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Mexico, Belarus, Portugal, Australia and the Republic of South Africa.
These symbolic compensations were paid out only once. As there are no more funding provided for such purpose, no additional or new payments are foreseen in the future.
